One of their juices, the RY4 tobacco is ok... But the others feel like I'm kinda puffing on air. Yes the nicotein is there, but it still feels kinda pointless to my ciggy loving brain, and I'm finding myself reaching of the dreaded sticks a few times a day still.

I've tried changing the coils, despite recommendations that they only be change once every 3 to 4 weeks... So it it my Vape? Is it the juice? Or did I just underestimate the level of nicotein I need? (currently using 12mg.. But was smoking 6mg cigarettes at around 35 a day).

Your wisdom would be most appreciated

Hi Manda I started on those things as well, only took me a week to work out they were no good and I upgraded to a much better mod and tank in the same week lol.
I see fab has given a couple of good links so don't despair just get a better personal vaporizer and you will get your throat hit and will find out how good vaping really is. Good luck with everything..!

On something like that, even a moderate smoker (20/day) is going to need 18mg/ml. Some people will need 24mg/ml. Higher nicotine and juices with at least 70% PG will increase throat hit a lot as well.

The devices we usually recommend for starters now are new technology - things like the Innokin T18 and the Pockex. These have improved airflow and will give a more satisfying vape. You still could need 18mg/ml in them, but the 12mg/ml might *just* do it.

I found this to be true. I have a Pockex and a K3 for my starters and agree with the Pockex being recommended also. I found the K3 a bit smoother by comparison.
I have 18mg juice that i've used to make up a 24mg mix and float between the two depending on my needs. i definitely get a solid throat kick. Higher VG ratio mixes tend to have less of a throat hit to. Not that i know much, just what i've figured out on my own so far.

Awesome thanks so much guys!! I'm looking at the pockex now.. Damn it's cheap!!!
Also going to stock up in some 18mg juice. I'm sure my 12mg will be fine for a back up, as I have heaps of it 😂

Sorry, one last question... I was going to buy more juice off VapeKing when I purchased the pockex, but couldn't find the nicotein ones... Do they not sell them?

Yes, Nicotine can not legally be sold in Australia. I think Vaper Empire get around this by actually drop shipping from overseas.

You can get RTV (ready to vape) liquids from Mixology in NZ:
Mixology Vapes – E Liquid Nicotine Australia | Shipping e liquid with nicotine and unflavoured nicotine to Australia
shipping time is about two to three days.

You can buy zero nic RTV liquids from Australian vendors, and you add a bit of concentrated 100mg/ml nicotine to it. A lot of us here use Hiliq in China for the nicotine as the product and prices are very good:
    http://hiliq.com/
Shipping takes about five days. Use the code "HILIQAussie" for 15% off the product price. The product I'd recommend first time would be this one:
    https://www.hiliq.com/en/unflavored-...ine-base-100ml

Higher concentrations of nicotine and larger quantities are available, which makes it more economical. Mixology also sell concentrated nicotine if you need it quickly too.

Sites to look at for Aussie zero nic RTV's: Five Ten inc, VaporEyes, Fenix Vapor, Aussie ecigs. Most of them sell hardware as well. Oh, and yes VapeKing sell everything. I've been dealing with Vapeking and Aussie for a while now, and all of these companies are good.

You should also get some syringes for measuring if you go this way. 1ml, 2.5ml, 5ml are good sizes. Larger sizes 10ml and 20ml etc are good for measuring out the RTV. Mix small batches until you dial in your ideal nicotine. The advantage of doing it this way flexibility and economy.

ETA: not forgetting a few empty dripper bottles - 10ml and 30ml sizes are most handy.

I should put a note here about nicotine safety (why do we not have a sticky thread on this subject)?

Nicotine can be absorbed through the skin, and the fumes from an open bottle of high concentration nic can affect the mixer.

    * Do not have children or pets around when you are mixing
    * Clean up any spills and wash equipment immediately
    * Wash your hands after handling
    * wear gloves while mixing (I don't)
    * wear safety glasses (I wear glasses for short sightedness anyway)
    * work in a well ventilated area
    * store all nicotine liquids away from kids or pets.

Nicotine is relatively safe if you observe some basic safety rules but it's important to remember that it's a poison that we as vapers have a high tolerance to. Treat it like any other poison in the house - weed or insect killer.

Since no adult is stupid enough to drink it, probably the worst case scenario is if you are careless and splash some in your eye. You will KNOW if this has happened (I haven't done it but it's apparently very painful). In this case flush the eye for 10 to 15 minutes, and seek medical advice. The thought of a toddler getting hold of some is unthinkable.

ETA: on working in a well ventilated area: I have observed that taking a sniff out of a bottle of 200mg/ml concentrated nicotine gives about the same physiological affects as vaping 18mg/ml nicotine on an efficient device. This is double the strength that most people use, and would only be of concern if you were working with your head in a cardboard box. Time of exposure would be a factor as well.

The Pockex is an excellent choice, I highly recommend it for new vapers & reviewed it here if you want to have a read: Aspire Pockex All-in-one review
If your budget allows, I'd buy 2 since they are so cheap, that way you will have one in use & one on charge(or ready to use) at all times

I think you should also get some 24mg/ml juice, in a similar flavor(s) to the 12mg/ml juice you have now & a couple of bottles of 18mg/ml too, this will cover all your bases.
If the 24mg/ml is too strong, then you can mix it 50/50 with your 12mg/ml juice(s), which will give you more 18mg/ml juice.
You probably only need 18mg/ml in the Pockex but it is better to have some 24mg/ml on hand for if 18mg/ml isn't strong enough, than to be missing out on the nic hit you want while waiting for yet another order to arrive & if the 24mg/ml is too strong, as I mentioned above you'll be able to mix it down to 18mg/ml
