drums are art man. They really are. Some people are born with the ability. Some arnt.

People can always play guitar, but drums take a little bit of 'magic'.

I can always tell when I meet someone, when they tell me if they play drums, if they are any good or not. Its like I can smell them or something.

its an explicable feeling sitting behind a kit. i used to play and practice for hours non stop and i wouldnt get tired of it..
the entire world's power supply would just run out and switch off...but we drummers would still be happy sitting under a tree banging away..

hours,, and I mean hours EVERY day is what it takes. I once put a heart beat monitor on me for when I practised, and it averaged 180bpm!!!! More than when I went jogging. A lot of people dont realise just how physically demanding it is.
