    eLiquid vs Analog Nic Level

    Hey all,

I've been trying to figure out how to work out the equivalent eliquid to an 8mg analog...

    Way i've been thinking:
    18mg in 30ml = 30 / 18 = 1.6mg per 1ml?

But it doesn't make sense if I only go through 1.5ml a day and used to smoke 1/2 a pack of 8mg a day?

    Cheers,

im no expert but this might help

some ejuice facts you already know...
    ejuice facts
    quoted from bwb newsletter

There are approximately 20-25 drops in 1ml.
There are around 5 puffs in one drop, so about 10 puffs per 2 drops. Two drops is the amount most commonly added when dripping, see below.

A typical user vapes around 3ml / day.

    So at 3ml per day:

    a 10ml bottle lasts about 3 days.
    a 20ml bottle lasts about 1 week.
    a 30ml bottle lasts about 10 days.

    A 24mg juice means 24mg / ml.

1 analog cigarette = approx. 1mg nicotine absorbed.
1ml of 24mg nicotine juice = 24mg nic... but read further......

The mg stated on juice is what is in the liquid. Only about 1/3 of that is absorbed, possibly a good bit lower (some tests have said as low as 10%; but the maximum is probably 40%). Maybe closer to 30%.

    A box of 20 cigs gives aboout 20mg nicotine (20 x 1mg).

    2ml of 36mg liquid will give about 2 x 36 x 0.33 = about the same : 20mg absorbed.

So 1 box of analog cigs is roughly equivalent to 2ml of 36mg juice or 3ml of 24mg juice.

smokes are tar based and juice is nic based cant compare - but for me 3ml of 12 mg nic feels the same as a pack of 20 4mg smokes - i am sure there is a more scientific answer

When you hear "tar" with cigarettes it's actually referring to all the material that is left over after burning it. Many people think cigarettes contain actual tar (like roads) but this isn't the case. The tobacco companies used to always put tar in quotes ("tar") but with all the anti-smoking propaganda this got lost somewhere along the way.

Having said that, the nicotine in ciggies is contained in an acidic carrier (the particulate matter that makes up the smoke) while ejuice should be alkaline and all the best educated guesses so far would indicate the nicotine is largely absorbed by the mouth, nose and throat rather than the lungs.

At the end of the day, do you really care how much nicotine you use as long as it keeps you off the smokes?

(Another anecdote: I used to be a pack a day of 8mg. I find 2-3ml of 18mg is what I currently need to keep the analog cravings at bay)

well regardless of tar in analogs and alkaline in ejuice... back then i always go for the flavour and taste. don't mind how high or how low the nicotene level are/was and how expensive or cheap they we're. i always and till now go by the flavour and taste it... just my two/three cents..
