306 atty .... I must be doing something wrong?

    Hi all,

I bought a couple of the 306 atties today as well as the necessary drip tip to go with them. Now, I have just put it all together on my 510-N but I think I am doing something wrong?

The drip tip seems to heat up a LOT. Any more than a 1 or 2 second drag and my lip gets burnt? I have noticed that the mesh is a LOT closer to my mouth than with the 510 atties with drip tip. Am I correct in putting the drip tip on then pushing it all the way down until it can't go any more?

Lol yep they get hot. Grab a drip shield or 306 to 510 sleeve to give it a bit of room.

short drip tips are fairly fail on 306LR unless you are using them with an ego, running on an unregulated mod you are also punching out close to 10W on a fully charged battery.
long metal drip tips are the way to go though you need to be careful its not to tight or the atty will come to bits pulling the drip tip off.
running them to wet will transfer a lot of heat to the atty walls as well.
    In order of useful: Provari V2 and V1, vamo, eGo twist, Katana v3, Hex, Orion v2, LavaTube, eGo x 6, VMAX, 510N, Tick V2, Tick V1, noEgo 18650, noEgo 14650 , Indulgence x 2, 905 6v mod, KR808D

You can use a CV Universal on them, then put them in a drip shield and use any drip tip you like.
Those cheap tips are absolute garbage.

most of our Aussie vendors have 306 drip tips. The cannon style ones are usually pretty good
In the past I've pulled the stainless tube off a stuffed 510 carto and used that as a 510 drip tip adapter.
    cheers
