    Juice questions

So a few days in and things are going well but have a few questions about Juices.

How should i look after my mixed juice? Should they be kept in the fridge?

Does it have to be in a sealed bottle? Will it go off if its not sealed? (no empty bottles at the moment so i have made a mixture in a 30ml syringe and nothing on the end to seal it).

I bought a "Peter styvo flavored Tobacco i-Mix Concentrates (10ml)" from vape king. I forgot it was a concentrate and put some 36% nic into the bottle and filled up an Boges Atty with it . The flavor is really great. Is this concentrate ok to Vape?

    Cheers

You can refrigerate it if you want to, I just leave mine is a sealed container in a cool, dark part of the room.

This I can't comment on. I haven't left a bottle uncapped for any great length of time, but someone else will be able to answer you.

You can mix flavours as strong as you like. There is no "set in stone" ratio when it comes to flavour. How big was the concentrate bottle and how much concentrate was in it? Depending on that ratio, it will alter your final nic strength.

Did you mix the concentrate like a doubler, 50/50?
If so, this is probably too much flavor but should still be ok to vape, if you like it. However i would at least add another 10ml 36mg & 10ml plain VG or PG to get the flavor down to closer to what it should be.

I regularly leave the lids off my dripper bottles of 30ml juice, sometimes for a couple of weeks, it won't hurt the juice much. There may be a slight degradation of the nic but it also helps with steeping.
Bulk juice can be stored in the freezer to prolong its life, it will not freeze unless you have added water to it.

Best to keep them out of direct sunlight.

IMO in the fridge/freezer is best for long term storage. I think temperature changes would make them go off faster (guess here). I think it was Stoney who left a bottle opened for a few weeks and from memory ended up with more liquid in the bottle (moisture absorption maybe?)

For long term storage i also use Glass bottles. Depends on your stance on BPA.

Just order some empty plastic juice bottles. Most Aus stores have them. I'm sure the liquid in the syringe will be fine for a couple of days.

I would have though the concentrate mix would have tasted very strong? I've never done DIY mixing before so can't help you with that one. I don't see why it would be dangerous to have higher concentrate % though..

Its a tiny 10ml bottle which was full, im poured out and 5-10% and relaced with the 36% nic. It's definitely light on nic but the flavor is really great. I'd like to buy a bigger bottle but it seems thats the biggest they sell.

10% to 20% flavor is the normal range for most flavor concentrates, most mints or menthols are lower than 10%

So you are vaping 90%-95% flavor concentrate?
I would definitely do something about that, flavor concentrates are not meant to be vaped that strong & you would get 50mls of mixed juice if you mixed the flavor at 20%, instead of 10mls.

there is no hard and fast rule as to how strong it can be, there is NO safety info on the flavours at all. we know they are safe to eat .. to a point, how safe they are to inhale is still open to question and will be debated for years.
I would not vape a concentrate at any more than 10% .. but thats me, its your body and lungs and throat.
likely the atty will clog up and die quickly with pure concentrate, god knows what is being formed on the hot wire with little to flush it off but more chemicals.

36% is actually 360mg/mL, and I would think that vaping nicotine at the level, or even half of that could do you a lot of harm.

I think your mean 3.6%... which is 36mg/mL.
