    Ego 650 Battery Kaput

My 1 week old Ego 650 is not working, I had a CE4 Clearo on it and it just went ssssssssssssssstttttttttttttttsssssssssssssssss and smelled burned. Now the button does not light and its dead. I figure its a bin job but was just checking because I really loved it.

Vale dear ego ... we knew him well

Probably the board has fried , you can replace , but not really worth it unless you are super keen ?

Unless the shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhshhhhhhttt was the battery venting .. then kaput is kaput

Sometimes you just get a wrongun sadly ... always have a few spares , the 650's are usually pretty tough little buggers
still a week out of it is a lot cheaper than a week on the smokes !
I would say your battery was the exception to the norm , I have never had one go out on me that quick ...
One simple thing to try and remember .. I clean the top of my battery every time I remove a atomiser , or charge it , just a wipe around the top and the threads with a cotton bud ... most systems dont leak so much these days , but they all have a little condensate from time to time ... this can build up .

Well, I killed mine with a shorted carto And it was only about a week old too. I fried the PCB, the battery stuck on ... but only for a short time.

    Edit: and what Fatman said
