I finally got to play with a Lavatube

and while I had it I pulled out the meters and done a video on it. It's posted at the top of troxlers.com (no ads, popups or affiliate links).

Yea.. you dont seem to impressed with it, sounds like your saying "spend the extra and get better quality"

Here's two tests you could also run to bring a little perspective to your findings.

    1. What does the Provari output when you try running a 1.6ohm carto at 6 volts?

    2. Can the Glv run a 2.0 ohm carto at my fave voltage of 4.5v?

Bollocks to the numbers... It's how the thing vapes that matters.

Had my Rava Tube now for a month and it has performed very nicely.

Mines hit the tile floor hard a couple of times and has a couple of impressive juice baths while I've been experimenting with tanks and it hasnt missed a beat.

but I do like it tells me it can't do it.

Good video shayne, pretty much what I have been saying, around 2A maximum, keep that in mind and you know what you will be getting.
    'it is what it is'
I like the way its brought VV into the hands of a bunch of people who hadn't tried it before.

Just found out the GLV isn't VV .. well the whole point is not really to see what the max is, I use a boge carto and 4.3v is just right, 4.5v is too much. A GLV can't do that now can it ?

Personally I prefer that it vapes rather than give me a diagnostic error code. My point is, it's documented features are being portrayed as negatives. Saying it's as VV as a 5v mod is misleading to say the least. The two examples used do nothing to show off it's VV capability.

The Provari, Lavatube and GLV won't run a 1.6 ohm carto at 6v.

The Glv can't run a 2.0 ohm carto at 4.5v whereas the lavatube and Provari can.

That was the point of my post Stoney I already knew the answers to my two questions above.

Looked like a glv ad to me.

It appears in the video that you had no intent to review the lavatube on its merits, the video seems to be purely for the purpose of promoting the GLV.
Labelling it as a Lavatube vs. GLV shootout/comparison would be appropriate.

Also, you say you wont talk about build quality. Shortly after that, you say you will talk about a similar device that works like a lavatube does "except its good quality"...

Another quote "This is chinese made, has electronics, has little buttons and all kinds of little things to tear up." (or words to that effect). Now no-one has had one of these long enough to
actually determine their longevity. I'm sure they will not last as long as some of the much more expensive devices out there, but you mention earlier that with the GLV - "They did fix mine for free whenever it did have problems"
So in the 12 months or so that you've had your GLV, it has had multiple problems and yet you claim that it is quality, and the Lavatube is not - despite the lavatube not having a failure for you yet - I'm sure if it did we would have heard about it in the video.

While your review might be lapped up on ECF, I suspect it might find a different reception here on aussievapers.

Disclaimer: I have neither, and have no intentions of purchasing either device.

FYI - not trying to be provocative or argumentative - I'll leave that to some of the pros here :-) I just wish to point out that your arguments in the review just do not stand up very well to an audience not champing on the bit of patriotism.

    Cheers, buggy.
