five years of vaping my reviews of what i use and why

After five years of vaping i have owned over 100 mods and about the same in atties. The reviews are mods that i have enjoyed the most and used for a reason.
From the dna40s to mechanical to the finer mods they all have a place, but over the years the hunt for the everyday mod has turned up a few surprises.
We all want the next greatest mod ,the next big thing , but is it the wisest choice, often in my experience NO it isn't. Consistency is the thing i look for most in my mods.

    1. Dovpo GX-200 A bit of a shock here as it is by far the cheapest mod in the list. Used every day at work for 2 years. Why do i like this mod well its simple:

    For:
Dual 18650 in parallel ( 40 hrs between charge )
    Charge port for the lazy
Does what it says on the tin
    Can handle the knocks
Dont care if it breaks at the price

    Against:
Rubbish threads on the 510 ( cardboard trick fix )
    Misfiring as it gets older

    2. Stingray x. One of the best looking mods ever made period. Mine has the quasar sitting on the top all the time.

    For:
    Looks beautiful
    Consistent firing

    Against:
    Bugger to clean

    3. The REO Woodvil. If like me you enjoy dripping and squonking then this is a must. Unused for a while but always go back there if you know what i mean

    For:
    Build quality
    Looks

    Against:
Nothing really, maybe limited in its use , but hey you new what you were buying right.

    4. Hurakan dna40 26650. ( In green )

    For:
    Stunning looks
    Big on power
    Feels great in hand

    Against:
    To nice to use
Really hard to get hold of
    To expensive to use
Did i mention the price ( best not in case the wife reads this )

    5. Private v2 the dinky and most solid mod ever

    For:
In 18350 mod this mod is tiny and beautiful
    Solid
    Easy to clean

    Against:
Had to fix the switch to magnets
Not too keen on the looks in 18650 ( pipe bomb )

    6. Pioneer4You iPV 4S 120W dna40

    For:
    Temp control is great
    Never misses a beat
    Good battery life ( dual 18650 )
    Good value

    Against:
    Bit plasticky
Dont like the battery cover ( better with sleeve on it and looks better )

    7. Istick 50w the chicken soup of the vape world ( took over from the vamo )

    For:
    Great bang for your bucks
    Everyone should own one
    I think everyone does
    Cheap cheap cheap

    Against:
    Pretty much everything
    Non changeable battery
    Crap at reading atties correctly
    Looks crap
    Buttons off a kids toy

BUT AFTER ALL THAT YOU STILL NEED ONE IT IS THE BEST BACK UP IN THE WORLD

So there you have it my everyday vapes. Now before you all say what about this and what about that please remember this is what i use from day to day.
With all the mods i own it is the GX-200 i use the most because it gets thrown around. Yes its nice to beable to crank up the wattage or control the temp
from time to time but in everyday use and for the way i vape the GX suites. So after all these years of vaping i hope i have found the formula that works for me
, Yes we all want the best, newest and brightest mods we can afford with all the bells and whistles but at the end of it all ,for me it comes down to what works
best in your everyday situation and how you like to vape. I wish you all the best in your journey and you find what works for you.

What ohms are you running on the mod & is that 40hrs run time or 40hrs total (2 days) ?

    Edit:
Also what's the MAH of your batts?

Ahh perfect just the info I needed to know
So medium to heavy vaper, I'd guess around 5-6ml of juice per day?
If so, given that I use about the same, run about the same ohms on similar MAH batts, then I think that stacked in series is better for run times for your batts.
I get around 4 days from a pair of batts in my dual batt mods but they are all series configuration.

I don't have a degree in batteries or electronics, so I can't point to why this is but it seems to be that parallel configuration doesn't run for as long as series config does by about a factor of 1:2.
At least that is what I am seeing from my & other user's experience.
I don't have a parallel rig to test with but I do have a Evic VT, which has 5000mah (supposedly) & I am only getting 2 days run time out of that, so now I am suspecting that the Evic VT is running parallel cells too.
If this is the case, with batt configs, then series is the better option IMO, fewer charge cycles & longer run times over the life of your cells will save you some $ over the long term.

It is a very simple mod and does what it says on the tin. The mini is a great mod to .for me its the battery life and the cheap arse non caring if it get wacked that just works with the gx. But what ever works for you.
