nice review, I also removed the spring and put in a caravela center post. I Found it hit better but still not like I would expect.

I find if i use a gus-g22 (paps) or caravela bottom button it hits like it should, so must be some issue going on inside the button on mine.

Would it be possible to File the Coned connection flat,
If so then add some magnets to make up the difference in length.

    This Might fix the problem,

    Nice review
But with the v2 gus and its new switch
It's made to take the positive nipple battery
Up and negative down towards the button
So try that with spring in the post and see
    If it works fine

good review, if its like most bottom buttons, think of where the current has to go, the issue with the katana was centre contact screwed to button, button then contacts the base, base is screwed on, so there is several contact surfaces that need to be good.
i ended up sleeving the centre screw (contact) so it shorted directly to the base section, made a huge difference in reducing voltage drop.
you can measure the voltage drop between bottom button and the case and work on reducing it, mine dropped from about 0.3v to 0.02v wth a tiny bit of brass tube.
not seen switch detail on the gus tho, i could be way off.
another way is to try putting a good deal of sideways force on the button while pressing and see if that helps, if it does, it needs some work somewhere.
    In order of useful: Provari V2 and V1, vamo, eGo twist, Katana v3, Hex, Orion v2, LavaTube, eGo x 6, VMAX, 510N, Tick V2, Tick V1, noEgo 18650, noEgo 14650 , Indulgence x 2, 905 6v mod, KR808D
