Warning on charger model kv-vv18350 overcharging

Even though AV still does not recognise me as a vendor i thought i would jump on
and give you all a warning on a perticular 18350 charger which is beeing supplied
with some kits using 18350 batteries .This charger takes 2x 18350 batteries and the
model number is KV-VV18350 . The charger intermittantly will not shut down when the batterry
becomes fully charged causing Venting. I have now tested 12 of these chargers and 8 of them
overcharged the batteries way beyond their capabilities.

any chance of a picture to remind people .. I googled but cant find a definite image.
a few trustfire chargers come up .. but I assume its not them.
perhaps it was made for protected batterys only ?

    Hey Stoney,
anything you can do to drag vapourtron out of the archive section?
This is a Bricks and Mortar shop in Melbourne and whilst I don't really get there much anymore, got me set up to start with.
I know we can buy stuff cheaper online, but if you need something in an emergency it's walk in walk out.
Just asking, not sure why his shop got archived to start with.
    very helpful dude

Can you guys clarify what a "protected battery" is. Obviously batteries ain't batteries. What is different between a protected and an unprotected batt? Cheers.

Ok here is a picture of the charger and also a few pictures when it all goes wrong.
The vented picture were taken 2 days a go when we were testing some chargers
that came in some kits prior to placing them on sale.
I have a tendancy to check all chargers prior to putting them on sale.
Its time consuming but this time it paid off.

I have a couple or three of these type with a model number KK-VV-18350. Slightly different number to the one mentioned. Of the three I have used, one overcharged and got very hot. One didnt do anything at all and the last one works well. I say works well, as the rated output is indicated at 3.6v 700mah. I have never checked a charged battery, but will do, at some point. These were sold with the VV350 VV System.
